Our cultures would make a perfect union, Had the US and China appreciate each other. Instead they fight like dogs and cats, Spiraling down the Thucydides Trap. The world is despondent like children, US and China, the quarrelsome parents. Both sides should try cooperation, Instead of contesting to the bitter end. Many scholars are shouting, Unwanted consequences are mounting, Mindless confrontations making no sense, Let’s hope in 2024 it will all end!
