As a House Panel Argued, Gunshots Killed 10 People. Here Are the Victims – Newsweek, June 3, 2022

On May 17, 2022 I lamented the recent racist mass shooting of 10 people on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at a supermarket in Buffalo, NY. I asked rhetorically “Gun Violence in the United States – Does this define our culture?“.

Just a day after the Buffalo shooting, a Chinese immigrant opened fire in a Taiwanese Presbyterian Church, in Laguna Woods killing one man and wounding five others. The mass shooting didn’t stopped there. On May 24, 2022. A reported 21 people were killed in an attack by a lone gunman at an elementary school in the small town of Uvalde, Texas. At least 19 students and two adults were among the casualties. The fatalities has gone up to 21 since my last posting.

On June 3, 2022 Newsweek published an article categorizing many more recent shooting as a House Panel argues on Gun Control. The recent shootings include Columbia, South Carolina; Onslow County, North Carolina; Prince George’s County, Maryland; Houston County, Texas; New Athens, Illinois; Phenix City, Alabama; Ypsilanti Township, Michigan; Chicago, Illinois; Toledo, Ohio; and the list goes on and on……….

Research conducted by the “Jang Group and Geo Television Network” reveal that the United States has been at war for about 225 of the 243 years since its inception in 1776.

I will ask again as I did on May 17, 2022: “Does Gun Violence define our Culture?”

Let me hear from you!
