Let’s hope the next generation of Chinese leaders will be more attuned to the western ways. After all, many of them attended US and western universities and are proficient in English. The other side of the coin may not be true as most Americans are not exposed to other western cultures never mind Asian cultures. As professor Jeffrey Sachs says “American Exceptionalism” is the problem.
Singapore is a special place where the east and the west meets. Hong Kong could have also been one but the income disparity is just too great there.
